Hi friends!
Welcome to my ASL Vlog! ASL (American Sign Language) is the most beautiful language in the world!
Always Be Cool.................................................................
A day when deaf people and their language are completely accepted -- no, more than that, truly welcomed -- as a part of the family of man, in which God created diversity not to oppress the minority who are different, but to enrich the lives of all.

How much $$ did you get for advertising Lite beer???
Response to anonymous on March 16th at 10:14PM: Are you thirsty to drink the lite beer??? LOL
I think the "roaring' R (I am not sure what it called, roaring or what) is only in Spanish, French and other language, not in English. I think, I am not sure.
French guy's story is funny, tho.
Farout you stayed true to your generation. Farout wow have not used that in years!!! :)

I never had to use the water gargle when learning how to say "R". I don't remember how I was taught. I guess my mind is shutting out the memories of the constant speech therapy I had undergone for many years.
Hey John L,
I have a message for you John L.
Please Visit my site at www.xanga.com/coolspritz22
Please let me know if you did watch my video for you
Very funny....Try a "Listerine" mouthwash and it may make your gargle noise LOUDER. Maybe you will be hired by the Listerine commercial TV progam and earn big $$$$. You are better than the other guy in one of their commercial.
Even though I've had speech therapy for years, I've never heard of this water gargle approach. Like Michelle, I don't remember how I was taught to pronounce R, but definitely not by gargling. :)
Response to John at 7:45 PST
No, I don't drink Lite beer...I prefer Guiness :-)
from another John back in CA
response to coolspritz22: Ha! Ha! Good luck for saying "R" with water gargle ha!
Thank you for your message to me!
Never heard of the water gargle to make the R sound! I went through speech therapy many years but never use that water garale method to make that sound. I wouldn't do that.
Since when you become the speech therapist ? Teach us how to speak?
I have never heard of water gargle approach either since I started to learn how to speak as a little girl. All I hear the roaring R like grrrr from the dog. I didn't know that any deaf person like you is a speech therapist. Hee hee.
John, your jokes are far from funny! Your fifteen minutes of fame was done a long time ago. Using God in your jokes will bring you bad karma !
John,
ROTFLVH. On a serious note, are you kidding me? The reason for asking is that WATER GARGLE is one of the most embarrassing sounds. If you wore a hearing aid, you would agree with me. Oh, poor deaf students not being aware knowing that it is terrible sound and not knowing that speech therapists degrade them with torture.
Sorry I am not from USA. I did experience Water Gargle when I was 5 years old. I can't imagine that, when my friends played outside while I trained "R" inside my home with an old teacher.
The back ground on the water gargle has tv on with voice in case you are not aware of.
