Guinness Book of World Records for Deaf?
True story!
Always Be Cool.................................................................
A day when deaf people and their language are completely accepted -- no, more than that, truly welcomed -- as a part of the family of man, in which God created diversity not to oppress the minority who are different, but to enrich the lives of all.

Hey, I have heard the similar true story about two persons writing back and forth in Baltimore, MD. Both of them thought that he was hearing and the other person was deaf and discussed about the arts at the event. Afterward, they discovered that they were Deaf! They laughed so hard and kept in touch. LOL
That is unbelievable! LOL

Hi there,
happy new year to you!
John, I couldn't help but notice your tattoo, it looks so shiny in there, what's up with the shiny look on your tattoo? Is it real or not?
Anyway, good story you had there! Smiles! Pls keep on bringing more humor stories for 2008!
Ha. Hard to believe. Both deaf persons should write briefly if so!
Michele on January 3, 2008 7:45 PM: The shiny one on my tattoo is the lotion, I just got new tattoo last Dec 26th and put the lotion on it for 2 weeks, smile!
I do not have any tattoos on my body.
Just curious....why do you have to use your lotion to put on your tattoo area?
I was told that once you get a new tattoo, you cannot go to a swimming pool for 6 weeks in order to prevent from getting an infection. Actually, the pool has a part of a chemical which is called Chlroine (spell?) that could hurt the *NEW* tattoos. Know Chlroine is the "germ killer." That is where it prevents from getting the germs in the pool.
White Ghost
Response to White Ghost: You have to put lotion on the area because you can't allow it to dry out. If it dries out and scabs up it can lose a lot of color and the tattoo will end up looking bad. Going in a swimming pool with a fresh tattoo is like pouring bleach on a fresh wound. It's not a good idea. You are supposed to wait until all flaking and peeling is done and there is no more scabbing. The chlorine can have a bleaching effect on your new tattoo, thus causing it to once again fade or look bad in the future.
Thanks for answering my question and now I understand. I know nothing about tattoos, smiles!
The fishermen should have wore NoHear T shirts and save 4 hours of writing back and forth.
John, you are very expert in sharing stories! I am very grateful.

Hey John...
When you told this story, I just could not believe it because it did happen to me in Indianapolis in 1995, where I was making mail delivery rounds as a letter carrier and encountering this similar funny incident with a big man. We thought each other as hearing, but writng endless notes till we found out we are both deaf!
Will give in more details about it in proper time...
Hey ABC,
You are Lucky so I live in South Texas that it is warn, not cold and not snow. oh well...
oh good and cool. I want to tell you so A few month ago I went to the grocery store late at night. A guy working there stocking the shelf was standing in front of the canned cat food that I needed to get. I couldn't speak "Excuse me" of course so I got beside him and pointed at the items in front of him. He gave me a puzzled look and I thought be was going to speak but then at the same time we both signed "I'm Deaf" Pretty funny-we both thought each other hearing and about 5 min, not hours, ha ha.
cool,
Thank for sharing,
Thumbs up!!!

LOL that's champ! They both did not know for 4 hour that they both are deaf. Champ! LOL
